North Carolina food bank describes ‘definite’ impact of baby formula shortage

The baby formula shortage in the U.S. is negatively impacting some food banks and pantries that serve lower-income clients. Derrick Williams, operations manager for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina in Raleigh, N.C., said its food bank is “definitely being impacted” by the shortage. Meanwhile, a pediatrician warns parents against trying to make their own infant formula at home.
