There is a new radio station going on the air in the Rutland area in December. I’m certainly not here to give them a welcome,.a plug or a promo, but I do take offense with the article in the Rutland Herald last Saturday. I don’t care what their music philosophy might be because music radio stations are a “dime a dozen”, but what makes me upset is that the article implies that local radio in Rutland has been lacking over the years and the new station will pick up the torch. Come on man! Talk about fake news! It’s a complete slap in the face! What the heck do you think WSYB has been doing over the past 40 years or so? I guarantee that there is no more local radio station in Vermont than WSYB. The key is the WSYB Proctor Gas Morning Show Monday thru Friday from 6-9AM. It’s Vermont’s most local radio show and I don’t care how local the new radio station hopes to be, it won’t come close to WSYB in being that special local radio station!
Come On man!
