Jack Healey Commentary November 9th, 2017

So sad to hear the news of the death of former Toronto and Philadelphia pitcher Roy Halladay. He died in a plane crash on Tuesday and you wonder if he was flying solo before he had the experience to do so.

It brings back memories of Thurman Munson and JFK Jr.

It’s going to be a nice day, but cold for the three state championship games on Saturday at Rutland’s Alumni Field. It will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 30’s. All three match-ups are intriguing as in all the cases the championship game participants met in the regular season and every game was close and could have gone either way.

I’m really looking forward to it.

The 2nd week of the college football playoff rankings and Georgia is still #1 followed by Alabama, Notre Dame and Clemson. I hope I’m wrong, but is Notre Dame really #3? I guess it’s a moot point if the Irish lose to Miami this Saturday.

Week #10 in the NFL. I went 5-8 and my overall record is now 76-56
