The Patriots have traded Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2nd round draft choice. At first I’m asking why? Isn’t Garoppolo the quarterback of the future? What are the Patriots going to do for a back-up if Tom Brady goes down? Then I thought about it… Why not trade Garoppolo. He’s an unrestricted free agent anyway at the end of the season so why not get something for him now. There is no way that Garoppolo was going to stay with the Patriots unless they promised him a starting job next year. We know that’s not going to happen. Also the Patriots are getting a 34th or 35th draft pick which I would say is a pretty good deal for your back-up quarterback.
If Brady goes down I don’t think it matters who the next quarterback is anyway. The Pats are cooked just like any other team that loses a first string quarterback. Do you think the Green Bay Packers are cooked this year? The Patriots are riddled by injuries as it is now so they can’t afford too many more injuries whether it’s Brady or anybody else for that matter.
Trading Garoppolo? Yea why not?
Also if the Patriots are looking for a back-up quarterback Colin Kaepernick is available.
I generally can’t stay up for World Series games and as a matter of fact I can’t stay up for the start of World Series games, but for game 5 I got up when the game was still going on and all I have to say is WOW!!! Houston wins it 13-12 in 10 innings and goes up in the series 3 games to 2. The Dodgers will host game 6 tonight.
Why do people on social media have to give us the play by play? The commentary is annoying enough, but enough with the play by play. We know! It’s on television and we can get it on the internet too!
It looks like Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe still has an obsession with Curt Schilling. Come on Dan! Schilling has nothing to do with a column about Yuli Gurriel and his racist gestures toward Yu Darvish. We get it Dan, You don’t like Curt Schilling, but get off his back!
