Jack Healey Commentary May 4th 2017

What happened to Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park on Monday night of course was disgusting. Boston for years has been trying to rid itself of the tag of being a racist city. I always tried to argue that it happens everywhere and it does, but it doesn’t solve anything. I also was one of those who would say that it’s just a few, not the majority, but that too doesn’t solve anything either.

All that being said ,Tuesday the piling on of Boston continued all day on talk shows both national and local. Some of it was ok and much of it was “over the top”. It still doesn’t solve anything.

The ovation given to Adam Jones Tuesday night was nice, but again it doesn’t solve anything. The fan or fans who did that stuff probably aren’t even thinking they did anything wrong. That’s the problem!

I thought we had come a long way, but apparently it’s nowhere close to where it should be. I feel disgusted and ashamed that we still have such a long way to go!

Yankee rookie Aaron Judge has been something! As of this writing he has 13 homers and they aren’t “cheapies” either. I really thought a player of his size would have some holes in his swing and it wouldn’t be too long before major league pitchers would find his weaknesses. So far they haven’t and quite frankly I’m a little surprised.
